Published Web Services

Various ICW products and solutions have chosen to provide functionality by exposing web services. These services are in particular used by software systems in doctor practices, pharmacies, fitness studios and other areas, which integrate – for example – with the ICW personal health record LifeSensor.

In order to provide stability on these web services ICW has undertaken tremendous efforts to version web services. This enables to resolve incompatibilities, while not sacrificing flexibility of the underlying software in order to provide extensions and new functionality.

Furthermore a company policy requires an ICW product or solution to support a particular version of a web service for at least one year, after deprecation was officially announced and the according information was published on this site. This enables the consumers of the web service to adapt their software to the latest versions in time, without compromising running production systems in the field relying on the web service availability and compatibility.

This page is dedicated to provide information to the consumers of the web services exposed for general access by ICW products and solutions. It lists the current set of published web services and provides details on the deprecation and discontinuation status of each individual web service version.

In case a web service version has been deprecated it is discouraged to start implementing new clients to access this version. In this case the latest production web service version available should be chosen.

If a web service version is discontinued the web service is deactivated or no longer supported in terms of compatibility to the latest product version. ICW does not provide any warranties concerning discontinued web service versions.

ICW has chosen to only list the general access web services on this page. Any other not mentioned web service is not considered published or is only meant for controlled access. Again ICW does not provide general warranties on web services which have not published on these pages. If general access for a web service is required including warranties on stability of the web service versions please contact ICW with an according support request.

Please note that web services are often implicitly consumed by utilizing the ICW SDK. The according web service versions are marked by an asterisk (*).

Information on how to upgrade from one web service to another is subject to the individual release notes of the product.
