ICW Healthcare Connector – based on Cisco AXP
The ICW Healthcare Connector based on Cisco AXP provides a connection between source systems and a central infrastructure. It complies with currently applicable gematik standards for connectors, but also supports other business processes (value-added services) securely and comfortably. It thus enables the realization of innovative applications, such as the electronic health record and invoicing procedures, above and beyond services mandated under the German Social Code.
The ICW Healthcare Connector based on Cisco AXP is a combination of the Healthcare Connection Application (HCA) from ICW and a specialized Integrated Service (ISR) from Cisco Systems, the world’s largest supplier of networking equipment. ICW’s HCA runs in a separate, protected virtual operating environment.
This means that application logic and network logic (firewall, VPN, routing) are kept separate.
