What is LifeSensor Fitness?
LifeSensor Fitness is a module that is coupled with LifeSensor for healthy people who want to monitor and evaluate their health. They can set goals and track progress against goals in a training diary. LifeSensor Fitness comes in two varieties - standard and personal trainer.
For developers the second package LifeSensor Fitness personal trainer allows training software systems to be integrated.

How can Training Systems be Connected to LifeSensor?
Data can be exchanged between LifeSensor Fitness and training planning and training management systems integrated by ICW. This is done using a Web Services interface, which offers the following functions:
- Upload of training plans
- Upload of training performance data
- Upload of check-up documents.
Two types of systems have been successfully integrated so far:
- Training planning software, enables the creation of a training plan
- Training management systems are already integrated with a range of exercise equipment and enable plan creation.
Trainers and therapists can transfer check-up results or training plans directly from a connected system into LifeSensor where they can be securely accessed though the web from anyplace at anytime. Interesting for fitness studio owners, equipment manufaturers, physician's networks and physiotherapists.
Architecture
LifeSensor Fitnesss is built using LifeSensor infrastructure facilities and ICW eHealth Framework (eHF).
The LifeSensor personal health record (PHR) itself is built upon the eHF. This framework provides lower-level infrastructure modules and libraries conforming to HL7 standards and others. The framework enables health care application developers to build interoperable, cutting-edge web applications. The ICW eHealth framework consists also of a set of very powerful tools to support the complete software development lifecycle.
